Dr. Cara Popeski, M.D. 

Dr. Cara Popeski earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh, where she currently serves as Chief Resident for Psychotherapy Training and is completing fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is completing certifications in Mind-Body Medicine, integrative psychiatry, and yoga instruction, and she integrates mindfulness and somatic practices into her work with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. Dr. Popeski provides psychodynamic psychotherapy through Clinic Without Walls, a low-fee clinic serving individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. Her clinical interests include psychodynamic psychotherapy, integrative psychiatry, mind-body medicine, trauma-informed care, women's mental health, and LGBTQ+ populations.
